I CANNOT get enough of this book, I have maybe 8 recipe books and I come back to this 1 constantly. Every dish I have made has been SO delicious, on top of that I've learned a new technique from this book with cooking rice that makes my rice perfect every time. Just last night i made the Haitian meatballs and my 3 yr son ate every bit of his!!!! Husband did too!!!! I have a Haitian friend and she even told me this book is VERY authentic. What a great purchase.
Chef Cynthia makes every recipe seem so easy to do. Fresh ingredients and step by step instructions and I feel like my Grandmother is smiling down at me saying "I knew you could cook just like me!" Love it
Soup Joumou recipe came out GREAT !!!! Absolutely delicious.
I would give this book 5 stars if all of the ingredients in the recipes were listed. There are several recipes that list ingredients in the directions but not quantities in the ingredient list. Hard to make a recipe correctly with missing ingredients. Disappointed that I paid $30 for a small paperback that is missing key items.
I will definitely buy it for my girls. My Christmas presents will be the winner this end year 2018. M
