What a wonderful book! I was just reading what was written about David. It's a very thorough summary and I was impressed. It's much more than a dictionary; it's an encyclopedia. This is the best book I've yet found about Bible characters.I want to add though that there are no pretty pictures in this book. Kinda boring that way. To make it a true 5 STAR book, I'd want it to have lots of colored pictures.

Very interesting. It would take forever to gather this info on ones own. I read it for "interesting little known" characters that had historical interest to Bible stories.

Can find anyone I have interested in knowing, as long as I have had it I guess it could have been more in depth at times it was an excellent buy for my budget.

Very helpful reference for bible study. I keep it with me during all bible study classes to help answer questions that come up during our discussions.

I used this for small group studies and it was great. It has a lot of helpful info and was easy to adapt to a group study.

I bought this book for my parents. My dad recently suffered a heart attack and they wanted to reduce/eliminate the salt intake. This cookbook has delicious recipes that are easy and use ingredients that are already in your pantry!

I ordered this book after my husbands heart procedure. We found many recipes that we love. The book is full of real recipes and not trendy food.

If you are a novice in the kitchen- this might be the cook book for you. It gives helpful ingredient equivalents, leftover storage recommendations, and emergency substitutions. For the most part I found the recipes basic, and I don't like the idea of 'fat-free' instead just using healthier alternatives.

This is my new go-to cookbook for most night's dinners. I do add salt to the recipes (it's designed for a low-sodium diet, but none of us have to watch our sodium intake too closely), and the resulting recipes taste great. There's a really great variety of recipes, and although I've used it only for entrees so far, it has side dishes, appetizers, snacks, beverage, and desserts that also sound good. It am actually excited to try them (and I'm not someone who adores cooking).In the few weeks I've had the cookbook, I've made Beef and Vegetable Soup, Chinese-Style Chicken, Coriander-Coated Chicken, Chicken and Rice, Plum Good Chicken, Quick Cassoulet, Chicken Jambalaya, and Summer Succotash. (I just realized I haven't tried any seafood recipes from this book yet, but there are several I want to try.) Most were super tasty; only the Plum Good Chicken was disappointing (a bit too sweet, and noodles were overcooked). The recipes use ingredients I hadn't thought to use before, like instant brown rice (so convenient), molasses, and fruit to sweeten a beef dish. I sometimes make double batches to share with my parents, and they have been impressed with how good the recipes are. I also have a picky eater, and she has liked most of the recipes.At first I thought the lack of photos was a drawback, but now, I'm actually glad they aren't in there. The book doesn't waste space with them, so there's space for so many really good, healthy recipes. The book is small enough that I often take it with me to the grocery store and flip through it to stock up the fridge or freezer. The meal planning tips are helpful, and I now plan to add vegetarian and egg-based entrees to our dinner repertoire. This cookbook is more creative and has greater variety than most of my many cookbooks. I love it!

This is a nice collection of recipes. It will take more time to try them. The ingredients are easy to find in the store. They are more common than in some other cookbooks. You may have most in your refrigerator and cubard already.

I think the recipes are good, but there aren't many pictures so it is difficult to see what the finished product is going to look like.It gave me some good ideas to try different things, and quinoa won't be one of them.

I keep finding more and more recipes that I really enjoyed. I appreciate the fact that they are very very tasty and yet heart healthy.

This cookbook really does have tasty, quick to prepare recipes. If you rely on pictures, this book does not have any. But for the everyday cook who basically just needs the recipes, I've discovered some delicious and healthy recipes.
