[...] Dr. Gorka is the most clear thinking voice on islamic terrorism on the planet and his book provides the actionable roadmap for victory against this insidious enemy. I highly recommend this book!

Every American should/must read this book. It reminds you that freedom is fragile. There are always people who want to control you for their own purpose. Be alert. Separation of Church and State simply means the US Govt will not establish a state religion. THAT IS ALL!. If a criminal goes into a Christian Church or a Jewish House of worship or a Mosque, the authorities can still pursue the person. An American is an idea. It is not from where you came from, not about your religion, not about the color of your skin. It is about you as an individual, about your liberty, about the fact that you elect people to govern. The government works for you! Read it to know exactly how you can stay free.

I can't add much that has not already been said by the hundreds of reviews. I will say that this is a book of supreme importance. Gorka is now a member of the government and we should read his book to see what he thinks. He presents his points clearly and plainly without a lot of literary flourish.I will also say that I have been looking into Islam and Jihad for a decade with focus and deliberation but I still learned a good deal about Islam that I had not known prior to reading Gorka's book.

when referring to "understanding" people often think the reference is to pity, allowance or other laudable traits. In this case the term refers to the proper way in which to engage someone with differing views. First, one must understand their basic philosophy, objectives as well as means of achieving their goals. As Dr. Gorka points out, the bedrock beliefs espoused by Islam are such that any attempt to find a solution without UNDERSTANDING Islam is bound to fail. The second point is that trying to effect change in Islam using Western Values is and has proven to be futile. While there may be a question of "if" or "how" to get involved, any intervention must be based on effecting change by recognizing reality. Dr. Gorka points out that Islamic Jihad can be addressed in a manner similar to old school time proven theories employed with respect to the cold war. The reader is free to agree or disagree, but I believe that this work answers many of the questions that have eluded many prior administrations.

This book tells the real story a fundamentalist Muslim terrorism. It is a must read for all our political leaders, or military, and all our police departments. It is also a must read for everyone in the US to fully understood what we are up against and the copperhead submiss of this attack on our country, the free world, and even the Muslim world.

The author very patiently and carefully leads the reader through the political and ideological foundations of Islam. He steadily makes a compelling case using examples of previous campaigns against enemies foreign and domestic.He points out the fallacies of current US efforts to counter radical Jihadist movements such as ISIS.Unlike other books that point out a issue and run away, the author provides a concise plan for defeating the radical extremists.This is a fantastic book.

What you will learn from this book is that you can’t negotiate with barbarians who believe that Jihad against non-believers for their annihilation is a holy goal. The Jihad leaders are very adept at using the Internet and social media to spread their hateful ideology. They are not the “JV” team. They are experts at what they do. In the final chapter Gorka tells us we can and must do to defeat Islamic terrorists and their organizations. One of the first steps is to educate yourself, because the MSM is not reporting what they should.

Dr. Sebastian Gorka gives you a comprehensive historical beginnings of Jihad to present day. I would highly recommend his book if you want to understand Radical Islam and what needs to be done to protect our Country.

I had a strong feeling that Dr. Gorka should be CIA Director before reading this book. Afterwards, I'm thinking that if it doesn't happen we are doomed. We should never, ever be 'buddying up' with any terrorist or country that does. Period. The only one saying that is Dr. Gorka. Complete and utter destruction is the one and only option. Read the book and you will agree.

I have read every book written by Neale and this book was as good as the others. I wish everybody could have an open mind and read his material. I know some are put off by thinking he's saying he had a sit down with God as the "Conversations" in many of his books seem to imply, but this certainly isn't what he's implying once you read one of his books. We're all having a Conversation with God, if in fact you do believe in God. I suppose you wouldn't be interested in this material if you didn't. I can't even describe how much I've grown in a positive way since reading the very first book in the series, and I've re-read all of the books at least twice.

A lifelong quest to find me, my individual self in relation to all the world and God has been much fortified. Things I instinctually already 'remembered' and adding missing puzzle pieces. I am perfectly me and it feels so good to get answers, confirmation, and truly profound suggestions that bring the big picture into clear and undeniable view.

Whether you think Walsch is simply using his conversations with God as fictional way to present his ideas, or allow for the possibility that he was actually listening with, shall I say, different "ears", I find there are some wonderful ideas presented here. I enjoyed the 1st and 2nd books in his trilogy, Conversations with God. The 3rd got too meta-economic for my own personal tastes. In "Communion", Walsch presents (or God does) the idea of 10 illusions, each of which follows when the usefulness of the previous illusion is finished. I regularly use the idea of some things being illusions in my clinical work. If the quantum physicists are correct, time is one of them, but that's another whole story. So, well worth the read.

ANY of Neale Donald Walsch's 'with God' books are a Blessing. I say this because I was introduced to Conversations with God, book one 10 years ago and I still refer to it today. I have my own conversation with God, and I get answers that has made my life an easier road. I love God, I was raised to fear God. These books have changed and are still changing my life. They stay near me. I pray you start with CWG book one, two, three and on. My favorite is FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD. Amazon has them all. Blessings.

I've been studying this type of material for a very long time and this stuff is fundamental. It changes your entire outlook on the world, the people in it, and everything you've ever gone through. To boot, it's surprisingly practical. It empowers you to use all that which you thought was holding you back or in your way or excuses and helps remind you of Who You Truly Are. Of course you know all of this already and it really just awakens you to your own inner wisdom. Must read.

Every bit as good as the trilogy "Conversations with God, and uncommon dialogue". Loaded with thought provoking material that will have an open mind viewing life whole lot differently. Narrators author Neale Donald Walsch, Edward Asner and Ellen Burstyn project the right tone for such a read. Thank you Mr. Walsch, Mr. Asner, and Ms. Burstyn for an excellent job in encouraging the mind to view a relationship with the Great Spirit (a.k.a. God) in a whole new way.

I have read a number of, Walsches books and this one is yet another of his fantastic books. So insightful, engaging and thought provoking. Anyone seeking a different truth about life a refreshing way of looking at life should read this book.

Rented this at the library and it completely changed my life, had to purchase and amazon had a great price for used book which came with very little damage. Looking forward to reading again.

FANTASTIC "pamphlet" with so many choices!!!! Best book for "non-traditional" weddings I have found so far. I would HIGHLY recommend getting the DIY Wedding Ceremony full-sized book by Dayna Reid, as this only gives you more choices for your couples. It has religious/traditional services as well for the officiant or minister who performs both. I recommend this to anyone either performing a wedding, or getting married. This is my "go-to" for wording ideas for all types of ceremonies! Blessings!

Great wedding Ceremony guidebook. I'm using it to plan my wedding in working with our wedding officiant. It provides a great overview of typical wedding components. I highly recommend purchasing the full book as well to get more detailed ideas on what to include in each step of your wedding (ex. Processional, Opening Remarks, Readings, Declaration of Intent, etc.).

If you're planning or officiating a wedding, this is clearly the only book you'll ever need! The Guidebook is like having your own personal sherpa to help guide you through the wonderful & creative journey of planning one of the most memorable and meaningful day of your life. The Guide book is a companion book to Dayna's expanded version, Do-It-Yourself Wedding Ceremony (highly recommended!) Don't wait on buying this one, let the excitement begin here! I have given Dayna's expanded book to two of my nieces and they're just thrilled!

This is a very well written, and easy to follow instruction manual for do it yourself weddings, and anyone wanting to officiate. Even for someone that was going to hire out much of the work, and have someone else affiliate it, this book was packed full of considerations that we would not have thought of. I especially appreciate that there is good information for many types of ceremonies spiritual, and non-spiritual, and it did not contain any bias towards any particular faith. We also appreciated the meaningful philosophies, and insights, on the commitment of marriage, and deep love. Going to purchase the author's other book for more of her insight.

This little book is a compilation of a bigger book by the same author. The ceremonies described in this booklet are easily understood and get the job done when you need a quick ceremony to marry a couple.

This was a short read and didn't offer many options. There was a section for religious, non religious, zen and Celtic... most didn't apply to me. Save your money and do a google search to get more relevant information.

Provides basic information, helpful for new pastors and those new to performing ceremonies. I wish I had this resource when I first officiated at weddings.

I'd been wanting this book for ages because as long as I can remember I've wanted to work for MSF. I really wasn't sure what to expect, and whether I'd still want to work for them once I'd read it! But I am happy to report nothing has changed...if anything, I'm even more driven!In this book, Bortolotti provides insight into the "real" world of MSF and gives potential recruits like me a better understanding of what sort of situations one would be found in, as well as what to expect of life within MSF. It's eye-opening and based in reality, that's for sure. I also knew very little about how MSF began, and the structural organization, which this book provides information on. Bortolotti writes with fictional flare, which makes it more interesting than non-fiction can sometimes be. He appears to really know his stuff, and has gotten down to some of the nitty-gritty that others may choose to ignore; or to describe things that may have been lost in the romanticism associated with MSF's type of work.I still want to work for MSF, and am grateful this book provided me with a better understanding and broader perspective of this amazing organization.

I'm a medical student and MSF was one of the reasons that got me into medicine. At first, it all seemed like a great adventure, I would watch videos of missions and think of those people as heroes. And while I still think that they are very brave and I deeply admire them, this book was very enlightening about the people that work for MSF, how their work is done, how MSF came to be, and how hard and challenging it is. It is a very good book.Humanitarian work is a great challenge. If you want to know more about MSF, in a more personal way, I also recommend Six months in Sudan, by James Maskalyk.

This is perhaps the most thorough, yet accessible, look into the work of MSF. I was struck time and time again by these brave and crazy people who pursue this field and the resilience of their patients. The book tells firsthand stories in various regions as well as the history of MSF, a truly comprehensive look. I highly recommend it and anticipate revisiting its pages in the future.

I do not know why this series is called erotica, is it just because it is m/m because that does not automatically make a book erotica! Erotica is meant to titillate, excite, and be sexy AF! While I do think Damen and Laurant have chemistry, so much of the book is just as I described in Captive Prince - two fighters circling each other trash talking but still very hands off. And then lots of riding to new villages/castles, chasing down the enemy, politics, battles, backstabbing...all of which is action-filled but its very minimal on "erotica" or romance.But Chapter 19, oh Chapter 19, you earned this book its extra star. When she does write romance and sex, she writes it well, just wish there was a little more of their love story and fewer power plays. Its a bit like Game of Thrones minus the dragons and all the sex, which is really just our heroes playing an elaborate chess game to win the Iron Throne.

“To get what you want, you have to know exactly how much you are willing to give up.”I was pleasantly surprised by the first book in this trilogy, but that was nothing compared to how much I loved the second installment. Everything that I enjoyed in Captive Prince was magnified in Prince's Gambit, plus the character development was everything I wanted and more.“That’s right, I’m still captured,’ said Damen.‘Your eyes say, “For now,”’ Laurent said. ‘Your eyes have always said, “For now.”While reading the first book, I literally thought to myself, "There is no way I could ever like Laurent!" Wow, was I wrong. Of course he did terrible things in the first book, and nobody is denying that, but the lighter shades of his moral greyness come to light in Prince's Gambit. There is so much more to Laurent than meets the eye: he is wickedly intelligent, always a step ahead of his foes, and puts so much more on the line than anyone realizes. There is a motive behind every move he makes, and watching these things come out in the open, as well as seeing Damen's reactions to learning that this man he travels with isn't only a cruel snake, is so incredibly captivating.“Because a king maker would always choose the weaker man. The weaker the man, the easier he is to control.”Damen, of course, is just as lovable as he was in the beginning; from the very start of Prince's Gambit, he is putting himself on the line for people he owes nothing to, simply because he's such a kind-hearted individual. His homesickness is still heavy, but it begins to mingle with so many other emotions as he finally garners the respect of not only the Veretians he travels with, but Laurent, too. The first moment in which we see Laurent treat Damen as a confidante is such a warm, tangible thing. ❤“Stop enjoying yourself," Damen murmured. "We're going to be killed, any minute.""Giant animal," said Laurent."Stop it.”As far as the romance goes, if you couldn't guess from the first book, this is one hell of a slow burn, but it's so lovely to watch the two men shift from sworn enemies to something more. I've always been a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers trope, and this is one of the best executions of that trope I've ever seen. Their banter absolutely kills me and I could read books on end just of Laurent smarting off to Damen.I could gush for ages, really, but I'll just say that I cannot recommend this series highly enough - if you can handle the tougher sides of the content. There's not nearly as much abuse in book 2 as there was in book 1, but it is still present in some areas, so please proceed with caution. Meanwhile, I'm off to binge read the finale!

The Captive Prince Trilogy is one long story. You need to read all three books in order: Captive Prince, Prince’s Gambit, and Kings Rising. Book 1 was good. Book 2 was the best. I did not like Book 3. The ending of Book 3 was good - it was happy for the main characters. But prior to the end Book 3 was mostly frustrating feelings and a couple of stupid events. I put an example in Spoiler below. Books 1 and 2 had more interesting strategies and events. Book 3 was no fun.The story is mostly about military, wars and politics in two countries/kingdoms. There are a lot Machiavellian strategies, conflicts and trickery. Other adjectives to describe the story: enslavement, rape, torture, sexual depravity. Gay male sex is talked about a lot. Both countries have sex slaves and other slaves.Laurent is a 20-year-old prince soon to be made king of Vere. His uncle is the current Regent but plans to kill Laurent so he can stay in power. They are master manipulators working against each other. Laurent appears to be evil, cold and intriguing. There is a lot of mystery about him.Damen is a prince from Akielos. Damen’s brother Kastor took over the Akielos throne and sent Damen to Vere to be a slave.I don’t know the author’s inspirations, but I imagine the following could have been inspirations: David Bowie for Prince Laurent, his country Vere being like Italy, valuing art and beauty. Gerard Butler in the movie 300 would be Damen. His country Akielos similar to Sparta.SEX:Throughout the books characters talk a lot about men having sex with men, teenage boys, and male slaves. These are references to sex not detailed explicit sex scenes, but this keeps sex frequently in the reader’s mind. Most of it is male-male sex but there is one male-female sex scene.The total number of sex scenes for all three books is about 6: 3 short scenes, 3 longer scenes, and many references to sex having happened. In one scene two men are forced to wrestle naked on stage with the winner raping the loser.TORTURE:There is a whipping torture scene in Book 1. A couple torture scenes are referred to in Book 3.CAUTION SPOILER:An example of a Book 3 stupid event: someone surrendering himself without good reason to an enemy who will kill him, then luck saves the day. The logic for this did not fit the character’s logic and abilities in the first two books.END SPOILER.DATA:Narrative mode: 3rd person. Story length: about 947 pages includes all 3 books. I bought this to sing with my 2 year old granddaughter and she loves it! I wish the pictures were bigger and more suggestive of the songs because children love to sing and look at pictures. Some of the songs have no pictures and they could have done better on that count. However, it is fun to sing through these songs with children. There is a good mix of favorites here and some I never knew before. I also think it is great for children to have books with music notes written in them to give them an interest in learning to read music and play an instrument. I highly recommend!

I love this book! It has large dark print, lovely sketches, spiral bound, and contains wonderful songs with several verses. It is mainly intended for the piano but most of the songs also have chords that can be played on a stringed instrument. I'm still at the beginning Intermediate stage playing a baritone uke, and the children songs are ones I remember well so they lend themselves to detecting the different changes in chords. I simplify the piano chords if I can't play them and they have added a richer melody to songs I have played in Beginning Uke books. Bought it used and not a mark in it!

I'm a piano teacher and I'm thinking about teaching voice lessons as well, so I decided to start out with my roommate and her 8 year old son. Neither of them have any experience with singing, so I thought I'd start with some fun children's songs to build their confidence. This book has a lot of familiar songs to choose from, and most are in a very "singable" range. There are also a lot of songs that none of us have ever heard of. The piano accompaniments are simple, which is good and bad--it means I can sight read most of the accompaniments easily (less practice time), and there's less going on in the piano part to confuse beginning singers, but some of them leave something to be desired. My biggest complaint with the book is that it isn't spiral bound, making it almost impossible to keep it open on the piano. Despite its few flaws, I'm glad to have added it to my collection.

This was bought as a gift for my son, who chose this particular title. He enjoys playing the songs and singing them to his infant son. There is a good variety of songs -- many familiar ones. The book would be a lot easier to use if it were spiral bound. As it is, it's very hard to hold an infant, play one-handed and keep the book propped open. I thought about taking it to a copy center to have it spiral bound but was worried about ruining it.

I ordered this with my fingers crossed and got lucky- it's wonderful, just what I wanted. It has an enormous variety of kids' songs, over 200 of them, such as "Farmer in the Dell," "Eeensy Weensy Spider,"etc., but it also throws in more adult songs that you might like to teach your child such as "Kumbaya," "It's a Grand Old Flag," "Down in the Valley," Oh, Susanna," etc. Terrific and imaginative selection, and it also has holiday songs- pretty much every category you can think of. The sheet music is just right- simple melody lines with just enough chords. I suppose this book would be good for children who are learning to play piano, but we bought it for songs to sing with our 3 year old. She sits at the piano and kind of tries to play along with us, but mostly she just sings and adores flipping the pages and going from one song to another. Best of all, the book is easy to press back and hold steady while you play, where so many large compilation books of sheet music won't stay still and close up on you when you play. Wow- terrific songbook.

I have new twin grandchildren. They love to be sung to but I couldn’t remember all the words to the childhood songs. This has them all. Their plays the guitar and many of the songs have the guitar chords. Perfect!

This has a really good selection of the good old traditional children's songs with decent musical arrangements--not simple, but not difficult for an intermediate player. Plus, the illustrations are charming. They're like the pictures you might see in old storybooks or elementary textbooks from the 1920s. This is a good standard book to have as a key element in your sheet music library especially if you have children.

Nice collection of songs, all written in good ranges, in keys easily played on keyboard or guitar. It would have been be helpful to have a suggested tempo for many unfamiliar songs. Single biggest complaint is the binding makes it nearly impossible to sit open for my music stand. I am forced to use large spring paper clamps on both sides. I intend to get another copy and cut off the binding and three-hole-punch every page!
